Saturday, April 22 is Earth Day and Arvada invites the community to celebrate and help protect the amazing natural resources found in Arvada’s parks and open spaces. This year, the big celebration will take place at Majestic View Park and Nature Center. This year's event is focused on community connections with nature with volunteer stewardship projects and free, family fun.
From 10:30 to 12 p.m. there will be volunteer projects to focus on erosion control and habitat restoration, along with a trash pick up raffle for a free rain barrel, which will be led by Nature Center staff and volunteers. (First 30 volunteers that arrive will get a food voucher.) Then food trucks, games, kids’ poster contest, partners from around the community and more will be at the park from noon to 2 p.m. to celebrate the amazing wildlife and people that call the park “home”.
Earth Day 2023 is celebrating our natural world, so rain or shine the event will take place. Limited parking is available on the East side of the park at 8880 W 72nd Ave or at the Majestic View Nature Center at 7030 Garrison St. We strongly encourage visitors to carpool, walk or bike to this event.
