To kick off Pet Cancer Awareness Month in May, Colorado Springs-based Wag N’ Wash Natural Food & Bakery is rolling out an initiative to help raise money for pet cancer research and treatment.
Throughout the month of May, the Wag N’ Wash store in Littleton is selling two packs of biscuits decorated with a lavender ribbon and white paw print for $1.99. Fifty cents of every purchase will be donated to the National Canine Cancer Foundation.
“It's extremely difficult for animal lovers and owners when they learn that a furry family member has cancer. Not only is it emotionally hard, but treatment and vet expenses are costly,” said Dan Remus, co-founder and CEO of Wag N’ Wash. “Through this initiative, we are doing our part to save dog’s lives, educate and reach all dog owners, and find new treatment and a cure for canine cancer.”
