Community Invited to May 31 Open House
Aurora, Colo.—On Wednesday, May 31, the J. Leonard Levy Family Wellness Center will celebrate their fifth anniversary in conjunction with National Senior Health & Fitness Day. An estimated 100,000 older adults will participate in local fitness activities throughout the country as part of the 24th annual National Senior Health & Fitness Day, the nation's largest health promotion event for older adults.
Local seniors are invited to an open house at the J. Leonard Levy Family Wellness Center, on the Shalom Park Campus, 14800 E. Belleview Ave., Aurora. The open house is scheduled from 10am - 7pm. The open house is free and open to all seniors! Guests will be invited to:
•Receive a blood pressure screening
•Take tours of the center
•Visit with vendors
•Attend free sample finesses classes
•Enjoy giveaways, contests, and prizes
The 20,000 square-foot J. Leonard Levy Family Wellness Center was designed for seniors’ physical and rehabilitation needs and features a one-of-a-kind 2,400 square-foot warm water exercise pool, a fitness gym with equipment designed for seniors, an aerobics exercise gym with flexing subfloor for gentle cushion, and a rehabilitation gym for inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapies.

J. Leonard Levy Family Wellness Center offers classes, equipment and facilities specifically for seniors, and is open to the entire community. Thousands of people are served each year in the J. Leonard Levy Family Wellness Center, to which Shalom Park residents have full access. The community participates in many classes including yoga, Zumba, balance classes, and water-therapy classes. Cybex fitness equipment and a large warm-water pool for movement and exercise programs.
