Summit View Elementary School staff spends an afternoon together to help raise funds for school. The staff met at Color Me Mine in Southglenn. They were each given a pig bank to paint. Each staff member chose different and unique ways to express themselves. Staff are stuffing the pigs with additional gifts as well. The pigs have been donated to the SVE PTsO to be sold at the school's silent auction. The Auction will be held April 19th at Lone Tree Golf Center. This event fits Douglas County School District's vision of world class education as the staff teamed with community members to raise funds. One of the many pigs to be auctioned is a pig showing it's internal organs, to go along with the 5th grade lesson of Body Systems. Another pig created was a Bride Pig which will be stuffed with a certificate for a manicure. Some other amazing pigs were a bookworm, expectant mom, pig skin, "Be the change in the world", chalk board, Peyton Manning, City Of Embers, Colorado flag, and a Raiders Pig. "We had such a fun time coming together as a staff to help our school raise funds." Amy Bittick, 3rd grade.
