ORLANDO, Fla. – Red Lobster presented Renee Rupple, General Manager of the Red Lobster located in North Glenn, Colorado, with the company’s People Developer Award and Community Involvement Award. She is one of eight General Managers selected for these awards from the more than 700 Red Lobster restaurant leaders throughout North America.
Presented annually, the Red Lobster People Developer Award recognizes restaurant leaders who have consistently helped Red Lobster Managers and Team Members grow within the company and served as a mentor to others. Sixty-four percent of Red Lobster Managers are promoted from within the company with the help of great leaders like Rupple who train and provide them with new skills to advance their careers and pursue their professional dreams.
“Renee is an outstanding communicator with a special ability to connect with her team and her community,” said Chip Wade, Red Lobster’s Executive Vice President of Operations. “Renee is a source of inspiration due to her passion for leadership and community involvement.”
Rupple also received the company’s Community Involvement Award for her dedication and service to the North Glenn community. She and the Northglenn team agreed to do a “year of giving” campaign, dedicating tremendous efforts to bettering the community. The team has volunteered for homeless shelters, animal services, participated in youth program events and assisted with home improvement work for the elderly. Rupple has spread the message to her fellow peers who all have launched similar activations to help their own local communities.
“I cannot think of better example of an engaged leader in her community,” said Barry Fulghum, Director of the Northglenn Red Lobster. “Honestly, Renee’s year of giving has been remarkable.”
