Valley View Cares is a food bank now open in western Douglas County serving Highlands Ranch, Roxborough, Sedalia, and families in need in the Southwest corner of the Denver Metro Area.
There are over 44,000 families living below the poverty line in Douglas County alone. As the cost of living goes up, economic challenges abound for families.
Life happens and families have to choose between buying medicine or food. Some families face a lost job or separation creating financial stress and Valley View Cares is stepping in to help. By providing a family the chance to shop for food for free it will help them have some margin with their resources.
Valley View Cares is a free market food bank where families can shop and select their own food, typically twice a month.
The community is invited to an Open House on Saturday, June 11, from 9 am to 1 pm. Visitors will get a chance to see the free market and hear powerful stories of life change through tours on the top of the hour.
The market is open on Fridays 1pm to 5pm and Saturdays 9am to 1pm.
Valley View Cares is located in Valley View Christian Church on 11004 Wildfield Ln, Littleton CO 80125. Just off Santa Fe and Titan Parkway.
