Littleton Native, C. Fulsty, is a thirty-year-old children's picture book author and illustrator that graduated from Dakota Ridge High School and loves the Colorado Avalanche. He read his book, Blake and the Turtles, at Collegiate Academy of Colorado on Read Across America Day 2017. C. Fulsty participated in Western Welcome Week this last August, along with giving all of his profits for the month of August to CURE Childhood Cancer and Canines for Disabled Kids.
With all of this giving, you may wonder what else and indie author (an indie author is an author who does all of their work themselves and pays for everything themselves) can give? C. Fulsty is working on two Donation Books which he plans to donate the rights and profits. One book is being illustrated and will be donated to Colorado Veterans Project. The second is being illustrated and will be donated to Tony Sly's Music Foundation for Kids.
Aside from all of that giving, C. Fulsty is still giving more! C. Fulsty is one of three authors working on a collaboration children's chapter book for three children's hospitals. Levine Children's Hospital North Carolina, Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital Orlando, and Children's Hospital Colorado. All three hospitals are aware and awaiting the books completion.
With all of this work C. Fulsty is doing to give back and trying to create a career like his idol Dr. Seuss, he still works a day job and has his own children's picture books that his friend Shanilee has illustrated. C. Fulsty has even posted on his Facebook page that he plans to out-do Dr. Seuss' book, Green Eggs and Ham, and will attempt to create an early reader book in under 50 words. What can't this guy do? He can't catch a break...yet.
