Golden, Colo. (September 18, 2017) – The dermatology professionals at Hill Center for Dermatology are pleased to welcome Dr. Sophia Rangwala to our Golden-based dermatology practice.
Dr. Sophia Rangwala attended Harvard College for her undergraduate studies where she graduated with honors. In 2012, she earned her M.D. degree at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and subsequently completed her dermatology residency at the University of Colorado. During her final year of residency, she was awarded the title of Chief Resident and received a travel grant from the American Academy of Dermatology to provide dermatologic care to those in need in Botswana.
After receiving her board certification in dermatology, Dr. Rangwala went on to pursue a dermatopathology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University to gain expertise in the microscopic diagnosis of skin disorders, including skin cancers and inflammatory skin conditions. She credits this additional training for also honing her diagnostic skills as a clinician. She has published numerous scholarly papers and presented at multiple national meetings. She is dedicated to the delivery of quality patient-centered care in all areas of dermatology.
Dr. Rangwala, who grew up in Tucson, Arizona, is delighted to live in the beautiful city of Golden. She has an ever-growing number of outdoor interests, including cycling, skiing, backpacking, and packrafting.
