Students at Front Range Christian School in Littleton are transporting themselves back in time to 1905 Tsarist Russia and the powerful story of a Jewish family, for the production of the musical Fiddler on the Roof in April.
The musical, based on a book by Joseph Stein, is a story about a man named Tevye, his wife and their five strong-willed daughters, whose choices of husbands move them further away from the customs of their Jewish faith. On top of family conflict, this Jewish community must also deal with the threat of, and eventual order of the Tsar that evicts them from their village
More than 100 talented 5th through 12th grade students, as well as student technical staff, dedicated teachers-directors, choreographer and parent volunteers have been working together to give ticket-holders a heartfelt look at this family and community drama. This much anticipated show opens Thursday, April 18th. Tickets are selling fast. Last year, all evening performances of the spring musical sold out, so be sure to order your tickets for this year’s production early. Show times: Thursday, April 18, 7PM, Friday, April 19, 7PM, Saturday, April 20, 1PM and 7PM. For ticket purchases, go to www.frcs.org and click on the ticket purchase link.
