While a college degree gives graduates a competitive edge in today’s job market, it comes with a hefty price tag that continues to increase—often at twice the rate of inflation.
To help demystify the process of paying for college, Bob Hawsey, Financial Associate for Thrivent Financial, presents De-stressing the College Selection and Funding Process - Really! on Thu., Sept. 7, 2017, from 6:30-8 PM in the Evergreen Fire and Rescue Training Room.
At this complimentary event, participants will learn about projected future college costs, tax-advantaged ways to save for college, the basics of financial aid and how to fill the college funding gap. In addition, they will receive tips on how students can identify their strengths and articulate their core values and passions in an outstanding college admissions application. Participants will also be introduced to ways to identify colleges that may fit the student’s academic, social, and financial situation.
No products will be sold at this event. Refreshments will be served.
Date: September 7, 2017
