Tiger Lee's Head Master, Seung-Beom Lee is very pleased to have watched the growth of his students. While other students have already obtained 1st and 2nd degree Black Belts under Master Lee's training, these 9 were the first group to begin as white belts when Master Lee opened his doors in Parker in January of 2015.
Becoming a Black Belt helps students of all ages be more focused, more fit, more confident, and better prepared to be leaders in family, community and the world. The 5 tenets of Tae Kwon Do (TKD) are exemplified in these students: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit. One new Black Belt, Jeff Kuhnke, praised Master Lee and the benefits this school has given his whole family - from mental focus and physical endurance, to increased respect and family cooperation. He quipped, "Coming here has improved everything about my life. The only thing I've lost is pounds." Others celebrated the family and community spirit that is this school, where encouragement and support abound.
Master Lee is a 7th degree Black Belt. Born in South Korea. He served for 3 years as the Head Tae Kwon Do instructor at the Korean Navy Academy. Then he graduated with honors in TKD from the elite Yong-In University where Olympic and world medalists in TKD are trained. In 2006 Master Lee came to the USA with a dream of owning his own Dojang and sharing his love TKD with others.
Master Lee's enthusiastic approach to teaching helps students of all ages and abilities master the disciplined forms required. For the Little Tigers he growls and makes scary tiger faces and leads Saturday morning Ninja training with the assistance of his wife, Heejong Lee, also a black Belt. For the youth, he demands focus and respect, while at the same time making the classes so fun students can't wait to come back. Parents say, "We love the way TKD benefits our children in every aspect of life, at home and school." Master Lee's 20 years of coaching gives him the experience needed to creatively meet the needs of all, students, no matter their age, coordination or mental abilities. His youngest students are just turning 4 and his oldest is 56. Many families in Parker attend classes together.
Tiger Lee's students are excelling in this martial arts discipline. This past summer, for the first time, students from this school competed in two competitions: the US Hanmadang and the Yong-In University International. Under Master Lee's careful coaching, all 10 participants earned awards. The benefits of TKD are many: including strength, flexibility, confidence, and aid in self defense.
We are looking forward to the next generations; the 15 who are preparing to test for Black Belt in February and many more in the years to come. See more on Facebook at tiger lee's world class tae kwon do or email the school at email@example.com
