Bricks & Minifigs® (BAM), the largest franchised toy store of its kind specializing in the buying, selling and trading of new and used LEGO® sets, bulk bricks, and minifigures (“minifigs”), will have its Grand Opening Saturday, December 30, with play opportunities and prizes for children and their families. The store is located at 8966 W. Bowles Avenue, Unit V, and is the first store opened by franchisees Thomas and Lindsey Hayden, military veterans and residents of the Denver area.
“We’re very excited to bring the Bricks & Minifigs experience to the Littleton community,” said Tom and Lindsey. “LEGO® is a timeless toy that appeals to people of all ages. We both have many fond memories of playing and creating with LEGO® bricks as children. As adults, we not only appreciate the nostalgia of LEGO® products, we also admire the educational value it holds and the ability it has to inspire a child’s creative thinking and engineering skills.”
The first 50 customers through the door for the Grand Opening event on December 30th will receive a free customized Colorado minifig. There will be many other giveaways during the day, including a grand prize giveaway of a 1000+ piece set. Entry into the giveaways is free, no purchase required.
BAM will provide event space for birthday parties and special LEGO®-themed events like “Make-and-Take” building events, Brick Derby car races, and more. The space will also be available for LEGO®-themed corporate workshops, mini-retreats, and team-building meetings. Parties and events booked during the Grand Opening weekend will receive a 25% discount off standard booking rates.
BAM is a place where those who love LEGO® products can build, trade and imagine everything LEGO®-related. With tens-of-thousands of pieces to choose from, customers will have what they need to rebuild their favorite sets or create their own original projects. BAM buys, sells, and trades everything LEGO®-related, and we mean everything! Staff members are trained to assist customers of all ages to create unique and creative masterpieces. “We want BAM to be an imaginative experience for everyone we serve, and we can’t wait to see what they create,” said Tom and Lindsey.
The LEGO® pop culture experience not only includes the quintessential building bricks, but various movies and television programs as well, such as “The LEGO® Movie” (2014), the “LEGO® Batman Movie” (2017), and “The LEGO® Ninjago Movie” that was released in September.
Bricks & Minifigs® was founded in Portland, Oregon in 2006 and now operates 32 franchised stores in North America and Canada, with 8 stores slated to open later this year and early 2018. In 2016 BAM was named one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s 500 Best Franchises.
