In January 2013 Americas Academy graduated its second class of trained hypnotherapists. These two classes donated $50,000 the equivalent of 999 hours of free hypnotherapy to volunteers who were in need of support in a variety of areas. These included smoking cessation, weight loss, pain relief and phobias among others.
We believe that allowing our students to work with volunteers is a service to the community in two ways said Dr. Carol Ann Watson, President of Americas Academy. First it allows the volunteers to work on their issues at no charge and second it provides the students the opportunity to refine their skills in a supervised setting.
Hypnotherapy has been recognized by the Center for Disease Control (CDE) as an effective treatment for pain. It is also effective as a tool for those who wish to quit smoking or lose weight reported Dr. Don Watson, Vice President of Americas Academy.
America's Academy is based on the belief that our students needs are of the upmost importance. Our leadership and instructional staff is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our students return for continuing education. America's Academy was created as a teaching academy to develop skills in individuals for coaching, counseling and hypnotherapy. This "one of a kind" educational vocational school in Denver, Colorado creates leaders in counseling and education. Learning to Lead to Help Others Succeed is our motto.
The Academy is offering a career workshop on becoming a Hypnotherapist on March 27, and April 3, 2013 for a $40.00 administration fee.
