The Jefferson County Business Education Alliance (JCBEA) is excited to announce that Aimee Skul has been named the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Aimee has served on the Board of Directors since 2010 and will be replacing Guy Nahmiach, Nostalgic Homes, as Chairman.
As the owner of Skul Insurance Agency and multiple Sport Clips locations, Aimee values local businesses and wants to invest in tomorrow’s business leaders. JCBEA connects business and education to create an outstanding workforce for today and tomorrow. Through the Career-Ready course, business professionals teach students to become qualified employees who are ready to work.
“I stay involved because the skills the kids are learning through the classes are skills that everyone needs no matter what their path after graduation,” Aimee explains. “There is a gap with employees currently and we need to bridge that gap through education.” Her favorite class to teach is financial literacy and responsibility, which prepares students to manage expenses and be mindful of credit. Aimee’s passion for this program and her commitment to these students will make Aimee an incredible leader of the JCBEA Board of Directors.
Not only are these young students eager to enter the workforce, but they are learning leadership. By interacting with leaders in the Jefferson County community, they experience leadership in action while building a deeper understanding and appreciation of their own community. As a leader in the community, Aimee is also an active member of the Arvada Chamber of Commerce, inspiring new business leaders and encouraging established businesses. She has a strong sense of local Colorado pride as a graduate from the University of Northern Colorado.
Aimee is personable, honest, and trustworthy, and she will be an outstanding Chairman of JCBEA Board of Directors.
