Hello Beauty will focus on beauty, creativity, and relationship as ways in which God reveals Himself. The retreat will feature inspiring talks and creative workshops.
Erin (Simonton) Day and Tara (Forth) Wright, founders of Scatter and Sow, plan to host Hello Beauty, A Catholic creative beauty retreat for women, May 5-7, 2017, in Golden, Colorado. Hello Beauty began to take shape after founders Tara and Erin attended GIVEN, a forum exploring the feminine genius within the Church, in the summer of 2016, in Washington, D.C.
Hello Beauty will focus on beauty, creativity and relationship as ways in which God reveals Himself. The retreat will inspire and equip each woman to let herself be known, especially through her unique desire to create beauty. Special emphasis will be placed on the truth of beauty, as the retreat aims to respond to Saint Pope John Paul II’s Letter to Artists, through which he invites artists and those who create, to create for the good of the church.
The retreat, which will be held on the grounds of the Mother Cabrini Shrine in Golden, CO., will feature inspiring talks, sacraments, and creative workshops including floral design, brush lettering, stained glass, and rosary making. Leah Sedlacek, will be the retreat’s keynote speaker. Leah currently works at the FOCUS Denver Support Center with Shaun Garrison spearheading “a beauty initiative within FOCUS,” exploring how all true beauty can evangelize the culture and inspire people to know Jesus Christ.
