myCNAjobs Partners with Colorado CNA Academy to Offer Scholarships for Nation's Fastest-Growing Profession

Colorado CNA Academy will waive CNA class tuition fees through the myCNAjobs Scholarship fund to bring more awareness to the caregiving profession.

myCNAjobs is pleased to announce a new partnership with Colorado CNA Academy, based in Golden, Colo. Colorado CNA Academy will waive CNA class tuition fees through the myCNAjobs Scholarship fund, launched earlier this year.

The CNA classes offered by Colorado CNA Academy prepare students to work in the homes of seniors or with local assisted living and nursing home companies. CNA and home health aide positions represent the fastest growing professions in America.

“There are not enough nurses aides to meet the demands of our community," says Michelle Ohnemus, Owner of Colorado CNA Academy. “Through our partnership with myCNAjobs, we're hoping to bring more awareness to the profession to help meet the increasing demand for excellent caregivers to work alongside our aging population," adds Ohnemus.

After obtaining her RN and BSN degrees, Ohnemus taught nurse aide classes at numerous colleges and worked in long term care facilities, gaining experience in hospice and working with developmentally disabled patients. After 15 years of experience as an instructor, Ohnemus opened a CNA school to provide best-in-class training to serve the local community.

CNA classes consist of theory, lab, and clinical exposure. Each program takes 3-4 weeks to complete. Through the partnership with myCNAjobs, Colorado CNA Academy works with students post graduation to connect them to meaningful job opportunities. To be considered for a scholarship to attend Colorado CNA Academy, local residents can complete a short scholarship application outlining their interest and passion for becoming a CNA on www.myCNAjobs.com.
