On Friday, a local Lakewood small business named Fox Hollow Animal Hospital won a contest held by 1st Bank of Colorado, giving them a cash award of $20,000 for producing a video of "what it would mean to their business if they were given $20,000". Fox Hollow received "1st place" among over 550 applicants from the entire state of Colorado. The video was created by the newest Veterinarian at Fox Hollow Animal Hospital, Dr. Ross Henderson, who is the second son to join this family run Veterinary practice.
Fox Hollow is owned by Dr. Tony Henderson who has served the Greater Denver area for the past 3 decades. Dr. Tony who is originally from Ireland is joined by his two sons, Dr. Ryan and Dr. Ross Henderson, carrying on the family tradition of Veterinary care.
This contest brought a lot of excitement to the office. First, they were chosen as a finalist in the top 10, then after a few days of online voting, the video went viral with almost 30,000 views. The video was selected as a winner and the representatives of 1st Bank awarded Fox Hollow with a check for $20,000 to use for their business to help support the animal shelters and animal rescues in the local area.
Fox Hollow Animal Hospital works closely with the folks at Foothills Animal Shelter in Golden, CO. They donate their time and expertise, especially with orthopedic diagnosis, digital X-rays, and surgical support. Executive Director, Jenn Strickland and chief Veterinarian Dr. Emily Hayes have brought new vitality to the animal rescue community, helping place thousands of pets to loving homes each year. This grant will allow Fox Hollow to continue to support these types of animal rescues organizations.
The creative musical video was created and produced by Dr. Ross Henderson himself. It showcases the staff of Fox Hollow and the several office pets that are part of their team, including Dr. Tony's best friend and golden retriever, Barrington, who is a local celebrity himself.
They want to thank their many supporters who helped make this video a viral sensation, resulting in winning 1st place. For more information about this story, please visit their facebook page at www.facebook.com/foxhollowvet
