C.R. Richards for Phantom Harvest

JUNE 20, 2014 - Local Colorado author, C. R. Richards has won the 2014 EPIC eBook Award for Fantasy. Her novel, Phantom Harvest, competed with eBook entries from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and other English speaking countries.

Straying outside the realm of epic fantasy, Richards combines elements of Noir and Science Fiction in her surly character, Gideon. Phantom Harvest, Book One in the Mutant Casebook Series, introduces the dangerous and diverse Mutant World.  Created by an atomic test gone horribly wrong, the "Calamity" ripped a hole in reality. Humans torn from their homes were split apart into many versions of themselves. Some theorized that a devious intelligence based the human mutations on the person's core nature.

The Electronic Publishing Industry Coalition (EPIC) was incorporated in 1998. It includes members from all professions in the ePublishing Industry. For the past decade, EPIC has held its yearly competition for eBooks and eBook Cover Art.

"I found Phantom Harvest to be a most riveting and exciting novel, and I am sure that those who enjoy fantasy will not be disappointed. I hope Richards writes more about this world she has crafted with such skill." Long and Short Reviews
