Women, do you have an ancestor who fought in or supported the American Revolution? Do you want to make a difference in your community through programs and activities focused on education, American heritage, conservation, patriotism and service to the military and its veterans?
If any of these describe your interests, consider membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), a nonprofit, nonpolitical, volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and securing America’s future through education. DAR is open to all women, regardless of race, religion or ethnicity, who are at least 18 years of age and descend directly from a patriot of the American Revolution.
You are invited to a Prospective Member Workshop hosted by the Mount Lookout Chapter, Saturday, March 18, 2017, 11–2 at the Golden Public Library, 1019 10th St., Golden. Please come at 11 and stay as long as you desire. Feel free to bring your lunch!
Interested women are encouraged to attend to visit with DAR members who can answer membership questions. Time will be devoted to investigating your lineage and beginning your application, if you should desire to join. Other family members, including men, are welcome to attend to learn about DAR and how to trace their lineage.
Please RSVP to Mount Lookout Chapter Regent, Joni Lewis, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 303-888-4395. Reservations are not required, but are appreciated.
